alice1I’ve been an elementary teacher since 1972.  I’ve taught 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grades.  As of June, 2011, I just finished up 3 years of being the  tech integration specialist at my building.   Funding is now gone so I will be back in the classroom, a 1st grade classroom.  My teaching will be different from when I last had my own class because of all I’ve done and learned in the last 3 years and I hope to be able to share that on this blog in the fall.

I’m now a retired elementary teacher! And life is good.  What’s interesting is that this blog has had more traffic since I retired and quit posting than it ever had before so I’ll try to add an occasional post.

  1. Couldn’t agree with you more! We believe that integrating technology into education is key! You have an amazing site and it’s so refreshing to hear how much you love what you do. I’d love for you to check out Schoology.com and tell me what you think!

  2. Love, love your blog and your passion. I have been teaching 19 years, 1st and 3rd grades, and Spanish and now I’m about to apply for a tech job teaching 5th graders weekly and 6th graders as an elective. Good luck keeping your funding!!

  3. Hello,

Thank you for your blog. It is so helpful. I think using technology in the classroom and in school administration is so important. I would love to guest post, if you have that opportunity. Thank you!
